Owner ~ Chef Jordan McLeod

Owner and Exec Chef Jordan McLeod’s culinary journey is nothing short of remarkable. Having honed his craft in some of Sydney’s best-hatted restaurants, he decided to explore new horizons in Tokyo. It was there that he earned his stripes at the esteemed Japanese restaurant, Yakitori Hachibei, immersing himself in the world of Japanese cuisine.
Upon returning to Australia, Jordan’s culinary prowess led him to be named head chef of the distinguished caterer, Cook and Waiter. Here, he gained invaluable experience catering for high-profile events and leading a team of passionate chefs.
But his love for Japan beckoned him back to Tokyo, where he opened the esteemed Thai restaurant, Longrain, as the head chef.
His talent was soon recognised, and he was headhunted to lead Restaurant Turntable in Tokyo’s cutting-edge suburb of Shinsen in Shibuya. Here, he transformed raw ingredients from Tokushima prefecture into works of art on a plate in his 40-seat omakase restaurant with a wood-fired grill.
In 2021, Jordan’s culinary creativity and flair were showcased at Atomic Beer Project in Sydney’s Redfern, where he created a playful, modern Asian menu that garnered rave reviews and notable write-ups.
Now, with a wealth of experience and a passion for innovation, Jordan presents jordanmcleod in Sydney, where he showcases his greatest hits – all killer, no filler.
